Summary Descriptions and illustrations are presented for three new species to science, Vepris udzungwa Cheek , V. lukei (both Udzungwa Mts, Tanzania), robertsoniae Q.Luke & (SE Kenyan kaya forests), in the context of a synoptic taxonomic revision with an identification key all known unifoliolate taxa continental Africa. The described illustrated, while remaining 10 given skeletal treatments (lacking descriptions). One widespread montane eastern Africa is renamed as simplex because its previous name, simplicifolia (Engl.) Mziray, predated by Endl. (basionym Sarcomelicope (Endl.) T.G.Hartley, Australia, Lord Howe Norfolk Islands, New Caledonia). combination hanangensis var. unifoliolata (Kokwaro) made. Full or provisional conservation assessments using IUCN 2012 standard. Of 13 taxa, nine considered threatened near threatened, which one Near Threatened, Vulnerable, two Endangered, Critically latter, both Uluguru Mts Tanzania, possibly extinct globally, although not yet assessed on Red List.

An azole, an amide and a limonoid from Vepris uguenensis (Rutaceae).
The limonoid derivative, methyl uguenenoate, the azole, uguenenazole, and the amide, uguenenonamide, together with the known furoquinoline alkaloids flindersiamine and maculosidine, and syringaldehyde have been isolated from the root of the East African Rutaceae Vepris uguenensis. While methyl uguenenoate and the furoquinoline alkaloids displayed mild antimalarial activity, the azole and amide ...

A critical review of the Ecuadorian species of Acalypha L. (Euphorbiaceae) is presented; 20 of the 38 previously recognized species are accepted, 9 are considered synonyms and 9 are based on misidentifications. Comprehensive nomenclatural information is supplied and 13 lectotypes are designated. An identification key is also provided.

متن کاملA taxonomic synopsis of Altingiaceae with nine new combinations
A taxonomic synopsis of the Altingiaceae is presented, including the taxonomic enumeration and distribution of 15 recognized species based on studies of 1,500 specimens from 24 herbaria throughout the distributional range of the taxa. Previous phylogenetic analyses based on several molecular markers have shown that Altingia and Semiliquidambar are nested within Liquidambar. All Altingia and Sem...
